Question of the week: January 1, 2019.

Do you have a New Year’s resolution? What is it? Or why not?

I’ve never been big on New Year’s resolutions. If I want to do something I will motivate myself. Starting at the beginning of the year never resonated with me. My favourite online free yoga instructor Adriene Mishler releases 30 day yoga challenges every year starting on New Year’s though, so in a way my resolution is to get through the first 20 min of every video in January.

  2. A friend recently posted on facebook about choosing a word for the year rather than making resolutions, and I rather like that idea. The word I’ve chosen for this year is “depth.” It’s inspired by a quote I came across a while ago, which I no longer remember exactly and have no idea who said it, but the idea was that by the end of your life you should be able to say that you’ve lived not just the length of your life but the width of it as well. I rather liked that idea, but extended it to length, width, and depth as well.
