The Asexual Agenda is a blog written by ace-spectrum people, for ace-spectrum people, covering topics at a higher level than what you find in the mainstream news. We talk about experiences, identity politics, intersectionality, academic research, asexual activism, and more. We also serve as a portal for the asexual blogging community.
We are now seeking new contributors!
What it involves:
We give writers a lot of freedom, and do not instruct them what to write or when to write it. That means that writers must be self-motivated to seek topics and write about them. We do, however, often discuss topic ideas, and offer feedback on writing. No WordPress experience is necessary, since we can easily teach you how to use it.
It also involves a moderate amount of e-mail correspondence.
How to apply:
To apply, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org by October 21st. Briefly (in ~100 words) tell us about yourself, and why you’d like to contribute. Also include a writing sample (300-1000 words) that might fit our blog. We encourage you to look at our archives to see what kinds of things we write.
The purpose is to demonstrate that you are self-motivated to seek topics, can correspond by e-mail, and can write effectively.
We often have people ask if they can write just one thing, without committing to anything in the long term. We are always open for guest posts, as long as you come to us. Please e-mail email@example.com.
