Linkspam: March 15th, 2013

Every Friday, we will share links to news, blogs, and anything else we find interesting.  We can’t catch everything, so you are invited to self-promote in the comments!

The ace parts of the internet were surprisingly active this week, so this week’s linkspam will be a bit longer than usual (and some of the links will be posted next week, just to keep from deluging everyone).

Interview with a Virgin

Swankivy wrote a response to people who tell aces that they’re “missing out.”

Mark Carrigan writes about where he’s going with his a/sexuality research.

Audacious ace wants to know your thoughts on asexual culture.

ace-muslim asked, “What is ‘the asexual community’?”  Make sure to read the excellent commentary in the reblogs!

There was an IAmA asexual/demisexual on the LGBTeens reddit.

M. wrote about how to approach asexuality from a public health perspective.

About queenieofaces

QueenieOfAces is a graduate student in the U.S. studying Japanese religion. She is a queer asexual. She also blogs over at Concept Awesome and runs Resources for Ace Survivors. She is never quite sure what to write in these introduction things, but this one time she accidentally got a short story on asexuality published in an erotica magazine.

Actually, asexual_fandom is now taking meta itself–posting prompts have finished. So far there have been four pieces of writing about asexuality and media posted: asexuality and femme fatales, making characters asexual in fic, using ace terminology in fiction, and asexual interpretations of music.
