    It’s also pretty obvious that the writer of that detective article has never read the original Sherlock Holmes stories, because Irene Adler is neither a jewel thief nor particularly bawdy.

    I was in the middle of translating the French article myself when I ran across http://www.universityaffairs.ca/asexuals-the-group-that-kinsey-forgot.aspx , an English version put out by the same organization as the French version. Now I get to wonder which was written first…
